Join us at the EU4Youth Campus Tour in EGYPT
EU Neighbours South in coordination with EU-Delegation in Egypt is organising Eu4Youth Campus tour events in two different campuses in Egypt on 20th and 24th of February 2020 respectively in Alexandria and Cairo. Through panel discussions, success stories of young beneficiaries of EU projects, exhibitions and networking sessions, these events will be an opportunity for Egyptian youth to be empowered to shape their future. Campus tour events will increase awareness on EU-funded projects and programmes that focus on education, innovation, entrepreneurship and self-employment as real and sustainable possibilities for the youth. At least 500 attendees are expected per campus gathering, mobilizing and connecting with students across all the country. Events will be covered by different local media to further spread messages on varied audiences including government and public institutions, NGOs and CSOs among others.
SwitchMed Programme representatives will be sharing their success stories and will introduce exciting news, such as the GIMED project, about how the SCP/RAC will continue to support the Switchers in accessing market and finance. Ms. Claudia PANI, Project Manager of the SCP/RAC will highlight Green Entrepreneurship and impact investing opportunities and news including the Switchers Support Programme & the GIMED Implemented by the SC-PRAC thanks to the support of the EU. Young Egyptians will be informed about the opportunities coming from these two initiatives, how to benefit from them as well as the tools available to develop their green project ideas.
Moreover, several Egyptian Switchers will showcase their success stories: green products and services they offer in many sectors including resource efficiency and sustainable waste management, organic food and agriculture, sustainable textile and clothing, sustainable tourism among others.
During the panel discussion Ms. Rania SALAH SEDDIK founder of GebRaa, M. Diaa Eldin ADHAM CEO of VWaste, Ms. Yara YASSINE from Up-Fuse Ms. Sally HAFEZ BAHGAT from Oasis Community Center, Mohamed SERAG ELDIN from Dayra Camp, will share with the audience their main challenges they faced during their entrepreneurial journey.
