SWITCH ASIA: Regional Networking Event

This event aims at gathering together beneficiaries of the SWITCH-Asia grant scheme in order for them to discuss about common challenges and opportunities, providing cross-fertilisation among projects within the same or different sectors. The event will also analyze their contribution to policy dialogue with national governments as well as opportunities for scaling-up and replication of their SCP practices through public and private investments increasing the access to finance for SMEs willing to reduce the environmental impact of their products and services.

This session will allow discussions of specific interest for the fashion and apparel industries. These will concern resource efficiency in the production cycle, waste prevention & management, adoption of new technologies, eco-labelling schemes and the circularity approach (reduce, reuse, refuse, recycle) in these sectors.
Later in the afternoon, she will participate in the plenary Session on "Increasing Access to Finance and Leveraging Investments for Greener Products, Services and Technologies".
This session will discuss about the investment climate in the region considering opportunities, challenges and barriers for ‘Green Finance’. The experiences from the ‘SwitcherFund’ set up within the SwitchMed programme as well as the experiences from SWITCH-Asia projects and their contribution to the business-to-finance dialogue will be presented.
